About the role

We’re looking for a Location Planning Manager covering either the Midlands or the North UK to help shape the future of our estate and ensure we’re opening the right stores, in the right places, for the communities we serve. You’ll play a key role in delivering our new space programme by leading strategy, forecasting and new store reviews across your geographical patch.

This is a fantastic opportunity to influence major investment decisions, work with senior leaders, and make a real difference to how we grow.

You will be responsible for

Shaping our location strategy

  • Leading the development of location strategies for new store openings, closures and relocations.

  • Owning catchment analysis, impact modelling and forecasting to support robust investment decisions.

  • Driving strategic business projects that provide insight and clear direction to Property and the wider business, ensuring we stay agile in a changing market — including potential acquisitions.

  • Championing the use of spatial data, customer insight and market intelligence to inform decision‑making.

  • Identifying opportunities to improve how our team works, including processes, tools and training.

  • Presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders with clarity, confidence and impact.

Building strong relationships

  • Working closely with Property, Finance and Commercial teams to align location strategy with business goals.

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on all location‑related matters.

  • Building strong relationships across the business to influence and support strategic initiatives.

You will need

  • Significant experience in a role involving locational or spatial data, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear insight.

  • Experience presenting to senior stakeholders and influencing decision‑making.

  • Strong analytical thinking, commercial awareness and the confidence to challenge and guide strategic conversations.

  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to build relationships across multiple teams.

  • A passion for using data to solve problems and shape long‑term strategy.
