About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Adobe Commerce (Magento) Developer to join our dynamic team. As an Adobe Commerce Developer, you will play a critical role in the development, customisation, and maintenance of our Adobe Commerce Cloud-based solution. You will help to deliver engaging and personalised digital experiences to our customers. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, content creators, product owners, and other developers, to update and optimise our eCommerce channel.

The members of our team are responsible for developing and delivering customised Adobe Commerce (Magento) experiences for our customers and shareholders. Harnessing the power of Adobe Commerce to provide optimised, personalised, user journeys across the Tesco Mobile website, you will be a critical part of the team's success.

This role can be based from either our Manchester, Slough or Welwyn Garden City office, with a preference for Manchester. The role will be 2 days a week in the office and the rest of the time working from home.

You will be responsible for

  •  Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, product owners, and designers, to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions using Adobe Commerce.
  •  Develop and customise Adobe Commerce components, templates, and workflows to meet project specifications.
  •  Implement responsive and accessible web designs to ensure optimal user experiences across various devices and browsers.
  •  Integrate and update third-party systems and services into Adobe Commerce solutions
  •  Perform system upgrades, apply patches, and complete maintenance tasks as required.
  •  Troubleshoot and debug Adobe Commerce-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
  •  Optimise web applications for performance, security, and scalability.
  •  Stay up-to-date with the latest Adobe Commerce features and best practices and share knowledge with the team.

You will need

  • Proven experience as an Adobe Commerce (Magento) Developer
  • In-depth knowledge of Adobe Commerce architecture, including MVC, EAV, database structure, and APIs.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Commerce Cloud architecture.
  • Strong understanding of responsive web design principles and accessibility standards.
  • Knowledge of web security best practices and experience implementing security measures in Adobe Commerce.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Adobe Commerce certifications are a plus.
