About the role

We’re looking for a commercially minded, insight‑driven marketer to help optimise how we plan, deliver and measure our customer communications and media activity. In this role, you’ll use data‑led insight and audience understanding to improve the effectiveness of our marketing plans across paid, earned and owned channels.

You’ll support end‑to‑end project and campaign planning, ensure media is distributed to the right locations and audiences, and continuously identify opportunities to improve how we communicate with customers. With confidence presenting to senior stakeholders and a keen eye on the evolving media landscape, you’ll play a central role in enhancing the performance and impact of our customer‑focused marketing activity.

You will be responsible for

  • Develop a deep understanding of our commercial performance and its key drivers, working closely with Finance and Insight teams to translate data into actionable opportunities.
  • Build expertise in our audience framework and use it to shape strategies that positively influence commercial outcomes.
  • Translate commercial insights into clear marketing optimisation plans across the 6 Ps—Promotion, Place, Price, Product, People and Packaging—at both geographic and audience levels. You’ll bring these plans to life by collaborating with teams across the Customer function, including Marketing, Media & Campaign Planning, Direct to Customer Communications, CRM, Shopper Marketing and Performance Marketing.
  • Optimise media distribution across priority locations and audiences to maximise returns, partnering with the Media Manager and Lead Media & Campaign Planners to enhance our portfolio performance.
  • Demonstrate the impact of your work through clear measurement, showing the value and commercial uplift achieved through optimisation.
  • Build strong working relationships with key agency partners, including EssenceMediacom, BBH and Dunnhumby, to ensure high‑quality, insight‑led delivery.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in the media landscape, bringing fresh thinking and new opportunities into the team.

You will need

  • Experience supporting project and campaign planning, with the ability to keep workstreams organised and on track.
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data‑led insight to inform decision‑making.
  • A broad understanding of paid, earned and owned marketing channels, with hands‑on experience in digital marketing.
  • The confidence and credibility to present to senior stakeholders and influence decisions across the business.
