About the role

This role focuses on improving the accuracy, consistency and delivery of stock processes across our stores. You’ll support core operational workstreams, helping teams embed simple, effective ways of working that reduce shrink, improve compliance and strengthen the customer experience.

You’ll work closely with a wide range of colleagues and partners, including the Shrink & Security team, Store Managers and store teams, Suppliers and third‑party partners, and Compliance Auditor Team Leaders, to drive improvements, coach best practice and ensure external count processes are completed to a high standard.

A key part of the role is supporting change: helping teams understand new processes, coaching them through implementation, and making sure any issues are identified early and resolved quickly. You’ll build strong working relationships, communicate clearly and provide practical support that helps colleagues deliver great results.

Working collaboratively, you will use insight, data and feedback to identify opportunities, simplify processes and develop solutions that make a meaningful difference for stores, suppliers and customers.

You will be responsible for

  • Attending stocktakes, store and Distribution Centre coaching events, and supplier workshops to ensure the external count process and service are delivered consistently across the business.
  • Prioritising tasks effectively and recognising when issues escalate into problems that require action.
  • Collaborating with both dedicated and cross‑functional teams, and partnering with external suppliers as the trusted expert of the process.
  • Communicating objectives, deliverables and actions clearly, simply and in a way that suits the intended audience.
  • Planning your own workload and interpreting data accurately to support decision‑making.
  • Demonstrating strong communication skills and maintaining effective performance under pressure.
  • Developing realistic, well‑structured plans and delivering against them with discipline and attention to detail.
  • Working in an organised, proactive manner and showing leadership qualities that motivate and guide others.
  • Coaching and supporting both store teams and supplier colleagues to build capability.
  • Engaging effectively with external suppliers to deliver process improvements and provide training.
  • Following our business code of conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.

You will need

  • Strong planning and organising skills, including the ability to prioritise your workload effectively.
  • Confident working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • The ability to work remotely and manage your own time independently.
  • Experience of Stock Control within a store environment.
