About the role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and creative Online Trade Marketing Executive to join our Customer Team. In this role, you’ll help shape and deliver our online customer journey — making sure our website, app and digital communications really connect with customers. Working closely with our Trade Marketing Manager, you’ll bring our trading plan to life across email, push notifications, and digital content, while collaborating with our social team to deliver a consistent experience across every touchpoint.
This role is based in our Dun Laoghaire office, working as part of our hybrid model to stay connected with the team while enjoying flexibility in how you work.
You will be responsible for
Campaign Execution
- Leading day to day execution of trading requirements across our digital channels.
- Planning, developing, and executing online trade campaigns including creating and scheduling email newsletters via a centralised marketing automation platform, supporting with Clubcard promotions, and customer journeys.
- Manage the end to end email campaign process, including content creation, design, deployment, A/B testing, and analysis.
Audience Segmentation, Testing, Performance Analysis & Optimisation
- Working with our customer performance manager on building out our segmented audiences to always help better support our online trading strategy to the correct audience base.
- Confident in leading and fulfilling end to end management of the online customer journey, keeping the customer at the fore of everything we do.
- Conducting A/B testing to optimise campaign performance and engagement.
- Monitoring and reporting on email marketing & push notification performance metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and ROI. Provide insights and data-driven recommendations for improving email marketing performance.
Content Development
- Collaborating with internal teams to develop compelling online trade content supporting our trading strategy and gather content and assets for campaigns & day to day promotions that will be highlighted
- Designing content on a day to day basis to support the trade plan across online channels.
- Reviewing performance of our channels and create/update future layouts and templates, ensuring consistent branding and design standards.
- Developing and maintenance of content calendars ensuring our online activities including but not limited to website, app, trade email and push notification strategy is reflecting the overall customers comms and trade plan, as well as supporting with content creation for the social strategy.
- Ensuring all communications are engaging, accurate, and aligned with brand guidelines.
Database Management
- Maintaining and segmenting the email marketing database to ensure targeted, relevant campaigns.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and best practices in email list management.
Marketing Automation Tools
- Utilising marketing automation tools, Adobe and Selligent, to manage and optimise email marketing campaigns.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to our online customer journey as well as website, app, email delivery, templates, and campaign configuration.
Continuous Improvement
- Staying up to date with the latest trends, technologies, platform features and competitor activity in online trade marketing within FMCG & Retail Channels.
- Providing training and support to team members on online marketing tools and best practices.
You will need
- A degree in marketing, communications or similar — or equivalent experience.
- Experience in online trade marketing, email marketing and marketing automation tools (2+ years).
- A strong interest in website and app design, with a passion for improving customer journeys.
- Graphic design knowledge and strong content‑creation skills for digital and social platforms. Experience with Adobe and Selligent is a big advantage.
- Confident analytical skills to interpret data and make insight‑driven recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Familiarity with digital marketing best practice, CRM systems and email regulations.
