  • Collaborate with cross‑functional team members—including Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and other developers—to deliver high‑quality features.

  • Integrate the Android application with RESTful APIs and backend systems.

  • Ensure strong app performance through profiling, debugging, and performance optimisation across a wide range of Android devices.

  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code while contributing to unit testing and UI testing practices.

  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and promoting consistent coding standards across the Android codebase.

  • Stay current with the latest Android platform updates, Jetpack libraries, tools, and best practices to support ongoing app improvements.

You will need

  • Experience with Jetpack Compose and Android UI development, with a good understanding of the latest Android platform features.

  • Knowledge of MVVM or other modern Android architecture patterns.

  • Experience integrating Android applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.

  • Proficiency in writing and maintaining unit tests, with a good understanding of testable Android architecture.

  • Understanding of push notifications (FCM), offline storage, concurrency, and performance optimisation across diverse Android devices.

  • Good knowledge of Material Design guidelines and the broader Android ecosystem.

  • Proficient with Git and collaborative development workflows.

  • Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

  • Bonus but not essential: Experience or flexibility with cross-platform development (e.g., Kotlin, Android, or frameworks like Flutter/React Native) is highly advantageous and welcomed.
