About the role
We are on the lookout for a Project Manager - Automation to join our Distribution Transformation team here at Tesco. We are looking for someone who has Automation experience specifically with AMR – autonomous mobile robots or has a background in Robotics.
As part of our team, you’ll play a key role in driving initiatives that enhance profitability and support our long-term growth ambitions.
You will be responsible for
- Lead projects within the Automation area that improve and transform our Distribution Centre operations.
- Manage end-to-end delivery—from planning to implementation—using an agile approach.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Tesco and externally.
- Coordinate resources and timelines to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Champion digital solutions and innovation to shape the future of Tesco.
- Share lessons learned and drive continuous improvement after project completion.
You will need
- Automation experience is essential.
- Working with AMRs or Robotics in the Distribution or Logistics world.
- Proven project management experience in retail, logistics, or similar environments.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects and influence stakeholders effectively.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent analytical and financial skills, including budget management.
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (APM, Prince2 preferred).
- A collaborative mindset and ability to work independently when needed.
