About the role
Help us shape the future of Tesco’s store estate!
We’re looking for a Property Research Manager to join our Property Strategy & Planning team. In this pivotal role, you’ll influence investment decisions and provide competitor insight that drives our store network strategy.
You will be responsible for
- Lead Store Investment Insight
Analyse remodel and refit programmes, assess financial performance, customer impact, and operational outcomes. Develop post-investment review frameworks and create compelling dashboards to inform senior stakeholders. - Deliver Competitor Intelligence
Monitor competitor activity across the retail landscape, identify trends, and produce impact assessments and strategic reports to guide estate planning.
You will need
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel and SQL.
- Excellent communication and storytelling ability – turning complex data into actionable insights.
- Proven experience in retail insight, property strategy, or competitor analysis.
- Experience with geospatial analysis and location planning tools (e.g., GIS, Alteryx, CACI) is highly desirable.
- Commercially astute with a strategic mindset and strong stakeholder management skills.
