About the role
At Tesco, our Consumer PR team plays a vital role in shaping how our brand is represented in the media. We work to ensure our products, quality, and value are communicated in the right way, to the right audiences, and in the right places.
Our remit spans Food, BWS (Beer, Wine & Spirits), and Home products, and we collaborate closely with colleagues across the wider Group Communications team on business priorities like sustainability, health, and reputation management.

You will be responsible for
- Deliver a multi-layered consumer PR plan aligned to strategy and seasonal priorities.
- Manage PR events and activations, ensuring innovation and excitement for journalists and customers.
- Write compelling press materials and manage approvals.
- Identify opportunities to amplify activity across other channels.
- Build strong relationships with journalists and media outlets.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external agencies to create high-performing partnerships.
- Set clear KPIs and track results to demonstrate impact.
- Stay ahead of PR trends and bring fresh ideas to the table.
You will need
- Experience working with journalists and managing agencies.
- Strong copywriting and communication skills.
- Ability to plan and deliver projects and events at pace.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A collaborative, can-do approach and enthusiasm for PR.
- Experience managing budgets and tracking results.
