About the role

A rare opportunity for a Operations Executive has arisen to join our team here at Tesco.

We are looking for an Operations Executive to join the Shopper Marketing team within the Marketing Communications function. You will be at the very centre of the Shopper Marketing team, underpinning the efficient operational day to day running of delivering temporary communications (POS) to approximately 3000 stores. You will work with many internal teams, including, Stores, Business Support, Commercial and Product teams as well as the wider Marketing Communication team. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role supporting our external agencies and printer suppliers to deliver the Shopper Marketing plan. 

You will be responsible for

  • Impacting change in all C. 3000 stores and ultimately for 1000's of customers in-store experience.
  •  Support all our commercial teams and stakeholders through off fixture display (OFD) management working closely with our external supply partners owning and driving the OFD guidelines and principles to our supplier base. 
  • Manage the store’s POS profile database ensuring the platform is accurate, relevant and responsive to the requirements of stores.  
  • Liaising directly with our retail Business Support team to fix/ find solutions to the wider business and be a ‘go-to’ expert. 
  • Support the Operations Manager in integrating and analysing data from the POS centre software – including maintaining Team KPI's - Support in the delivery of templated Point of Sale. 
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence

You will need

  • Process improvement / management
  • Expert communication skills
  • Budget management 
  • Proficient on Microsoft Excel and an ability to interpret complex information
  • Previous experience working in a retail environment and direct interaction with customers and or suppliers
  • A good understanding of marketing operations including marketing software
  • Previous experience in the print and manufacturing industry would be desirable
  • Previous experience in a support/administration role would also be beneficial
