About the role
The Convenience Format & Principles Manager will work with colleagues across the business to improve the Customer Shopping Trip and deliver the 'Best Store In Town' Blueprint. Aligning propositions and defining our convenience format plans and planning principles.

You will be responsible for
- Balancing customer, commercial, operational and shopping trip requirements, to quantify proposed changes to our formats and principles having obtained the appropriate data
- Working with Proposition Managers to develop new concepts in line with the Best Store In Town strategy, supporting on proof of concepts, trials and standardisation of new kit/layouts to enable delivery of the Blueprint standard at scale
- Acting as the conscience of the customer and colleagues to evolve format plans and improve them for the business whilst delivering against our ever evolving cost models to support our Save to Invest commitments
- Taking the initiative, looking for opportunities where a positive change can be made for colleagues and customers, creating the brief and taking the idea through to completion
- Supporting and developing a remote team to deliver world class format plans and planning principles
- Raising awareness of store Blueprints by identifying opportunities to showcase work, hold masterclasses and develop a strong internal stakeholder map, garnering support as being the go to for all planning principle/blueprint queries
- Having market awareness both in the UK and abroad, I know what is going on in my segment, bringing key findings to the team
- Being a team player, I work within the Tesco Code of Conduct and live our values on a daily basis
You will need
- 2:1 degree or equivalent
- Retail Planning experience including space planning and layout principles.
- Project Management experience with prior examples of leading processes end to end
