You will be responsible for
- Drive our engineering standards to provide world class solutions to meet the future business needs.
- Work with senior stakeholders to understand the business objectives and deliver engineering objectives in line.
- Lead our team of Subject Matter Experts to interpret the Engineering vision & ensure the team interact with other business areas.
- Develop and maintain a strong network throughout Tesco businesses to support delivery of the Engineering standards.
- Ensure my team understand the business priorities and are on track to deliver the long term business plans and future innovation.
- Ensure we have robust workflow processes within the Engineering team and wider property teams to define roles, responsibilities and output.
- Work with TBS team to ensure clear WOW & collaboration is sustained between the team, agree priorities and agree objectives.
- Work with Property functions to represent engineering, ensuring there are clearly defined WOW and my team work within the agreed processes.
You will need
- Track record of achievement in a fast moving 24/7 environment, preferably retail.
- Experience of specification, design, procurement, project management, installation, assurance and maintenance of engineering equipment.
- Managing remote teams
- Excellent team player, able to develop strong relationships with colleagues and peers.
- Commercially aware and able to understand budgets
- Customer focused
- Clear understanding of project delivery & managing programmes of work.
- Broad technical engineering knowledge across electrical, lighting, HVAC & refrigeration.
