About the role

The insight team’s mission is to influence Tesco to make confident decisions because we understand Customers and Colleagues better than anyone. Our key priorities are setting the customer agenda, commercialising insight, business partnering internally and externally, storytelling and modernising insight. As the Lead Shopping Co-ordinator within the Product Operations team, you will coordinate the end-to-end management of the shopping operation, ensuring that business requests are fulfilled efficiently and accurately. You will lead a dedicated team, run budgets, monies and reporting, and collaborate with partners across the business. This role is pivotal in supporting high-quality insights and maintaining operational perfection.

You will be responsible for

  • Lead and prioritise shopping requests across the business, ensuring clear ordering processes and partner alignment.
  • Deliver training for new PDMs/TMs and support ad hoc project delivery. Reconcile receipts and track all spend, including corporate card usage and VAT reporting for all card users.
  • Analyse and report on shopping data periodically, update on spend, volume, project activity and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Be responsible for van maintenance, safety, and team training on transport processes. Develop team SharePoint and joint Mailbox and handle GHS ordering.
  • Lead projects - planning, tracking, and reporting. Coordinate scheduling of products for shopping team.
  • Lead a small team ensuring they are working efficiently and adhering to policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Technical, and Quality. Supporting the team where required.

You will need

  • Shown experience in team management and operational coordination.
  • Experience working with a wide variety of collaborators
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and partner engagement skills.
  • Experience leading budgets, reporting, and process improvement.
  • Experience in meetings with different work levels occasionally with director Resilient and reactive to changes managed calmly.
  • Comfortable in presenting.
