We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Project Manager to lead high-impact initiatives within our fast-paced rapid delivery business. In this hands-on role, you'll drive the execution of key strategic projects that fuel growth and innovation across our Whoosh business. You’ll be at the heart of innovation and operational excellence, working cross-functionally to deliver priority programmes that align with our strategic goals. You'lll be responsible for managing complex projects and programmes alongside a variety of teams, from concept to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and aligned with strategic goals. This role requires a proactive approach, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability, and high levels of organisation.
You will be responsible for
- Lead end-to-end project delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
-Strong track record of delivering complex, cross-functional projects on time and within budget – ideally experience in tech-related projects.
-Highly strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture direction, as well as strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the proven ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
- Apply a commercial mindset throughout project delivery—identifying key levers and knowing when to activate them to drive business value.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in evolving environments, with a clear bias for action and a hands on, collaborative approach.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the wider Whoosh team, and wider Tesco Product, Tech, Fulfilment Operations, Marketing, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships quickly and gain buy in to projects.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing clear updates, insights, and recommendations.
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating where necessary.
- Drive always on strategic initiatives, including end to end process and operating model optimisation.
You will need
- Proven experience (5+ years) in project or programme management within a fast-paced, high-growth environment (e.g. e-commerce, tech, logistics, retail, management consulting).
- Strong track record of delivering complex, cross-functional projects on time and within budget – ideally experience in tech-related projects.
- Proficient in MS tools (e.g. Powerpoint, Excel etc) and high level of written and verbal communication.
- Experienced in project management tools and approaches/methodologies (e.g. Lean6 Sigma, Agile, Waterfall, Aha, Jira, Asana, MS Project, or similar).
