About the role
We are currently recruiting a Strategic Workforce Planning Partner to drive the alignment of Tesco Mobile's workforce with its strategic priorities.
This role involves iterating and driving the SWP process, leading the quarterly workforce process, improving the organisation's use of people data and products, and ensuring integration with/ development of broader people processes such as recruitment/talent/performance. This position is crucial for crafting the workforce to unlock value creation and support the organisation's long-term goals.
You will be responsible for
- Iterate and implement the strategic workforce planning process to align with Tesco Mobile's strategic goals
- Coordinate and drive the quarterly workforce planning process with our teams, ensuring it integrates seamlessly with other people processes
- Continuously consider how we can improve processes to align with strategic workforce planning and talent strategy, focusing on crafting a positive employee experience
- Take ownership of and develop the current workforce planning platform (TeamForm) to optimise engagement around workforce management and strategy alignment
- Work back from strategic priorities to proactively build a strategic view of the future workforce and how we can achieve our organisational outcome
- Continuously link talent allocation to value creation, identifying and proactively addressing talent gaps
- Ensure the SWP process integrates effectively with broader people processes
- Challenge and support team leaders and CoE leads to think critically about talent possibilities and decisions, promoting critical approaches
- Have a passion for people data, ensuring accuracy and relevance and develop metrics to understand the state of talent and the health/status of talent processes (e.g., recruiting funnel metrics)
- Effectively engage and influence senior leaders to adopt and support the SWP process, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement
You will need
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Project management skills to navigate multiple partners and interaction patterns
- Ability to engage and influence senior leaders to drive process adoption and alignment with strategic goals Desired Skills
- Familiarity with human capital trends and macro-economic factors affecting workforce composition
- Experience with HR management systems like Oracle Cloud
- Knowledge of business strategy and operations
- Expertise in data management and quality improvement techniques
- Experience with platform ownership and adoption
- Previous experience working within an agile business - desirable
