About the role

We have a great opportunity here at Tesco for a Demand Planner to join a successful team!

You'll be at the forefront of the business delivering product for customers and colleagues every day.

You will be responsible for availability in store, stock holding and quality of stock across the Home part of the business by planning and executing the flow of stock from supplier to store. This also includes exciting opportunities to work with suppliers based all around the world and colleagues based throughout the business.

 

You will be responsible for

  • Producing and analysing stock and availability reporting, identifying and highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Providing short, medium and long term line level forecasts and share with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Daily review of supplier Failed To Arrives and short deliveries.
  • Working with suppliers to ensure the right stock is in the right place at the right time.
  • Creating Intake and Allocation plans for Promos/Events/Range Changes/continuity product to achieve great availability and rundown of clearance stock through maintaining the Tesco systems.
  • Working with the Category & Supply Chain teams to understand and deliver the trade plan including in season activity.
  • Understand the relationship between sales, stock and margin and be aware of current performance against all.
  • Developing an understanding of the WSSI process and provide relevant information when required.
  • Working with internal stakeholders to highlight potential issues for launch and continuity, agree appropriate solutions including maintaining the Mind the Gaps commentary.
  • Contributing to regular reviews capturing learnings and opportunities going forward making suggestions for continuous improvement.
  • Producing forecast volumes for goods out demand to provide visibility to Distribution via the Activity Plan.
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence. 

You will need

  • Previous Supply Chain/Merchandising experience.
  • Experience working with suppliers.
  • Proven ability to work accurately under pressure to meet deadlines whilst managing changing plans.
  • Experience within Forecasting and stock management.
  • Experience within data analysis and ability to be customer focussed.
  • Ability to react to change and prioritising workload.
