 As Head of Risk, you will be responsible for strengthening the Risk Management function including embedding and enhancing the risk management methodology and strategy.  You will collaborate with key stakeholders, and in particular the leadership team you partner, to provide timely risk information that will support management’s decision making and encourage broader risk considerations.  

You will be responsible for

  • Leading on embedding and enhancing the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework across the business.
  • Developing and delivering a risk change programme of work which will allow continual improvement and add significant value to the business on risk management.
  • Build and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders to promote, embed and develop risk management.
  • Work with internal control functions and GRALT to develop and implement a risk road map for the Group.
  • Work collaboratively with external parties to understand the implications of the evolving discipline of enterprise risk management, in particular risk trends, risk appetite frameworks, risk indicators.
  • Producing accurate and timely information to key stakeholders such as Executive and Audit Committee and Board Reporting around risk.
  • Leading a highly motivated and high-performance team of risk experts.
  • Monitoring the Risk Management team budget effectively, always being cost conscious.
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.

 

 

 

You will need

Technical

  • CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified Accountant or other suitable Risk/Audit qualification.
  • Significant Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) / Internal Audit experience (>7 years).
  • Proven functional leadership/management (including Line Management) experience.
  • Proven innovation and change experience.
  • Understanding of governance and compliance requirements, and related processes in large and complex organisations.
  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.

 Personal

  • Personal drive and initiative, with the ability to work under pressure at a fast pace running concurrent projects.
  • Project and change management skills with personal organisation and planning skills.
  • Accuracy and thoroughness with an eye for detail and quality.
  • Strong influencing skills with the ability to build stakeholder relationships.
  • A strong desire to learn.
  • A desire and willingness to build strong professional networks within and outside the company.
