- Annual bonus scheme of up to 45% of base salary

At Tesco Property Maintenance, we’re on the lookout for a leader who will champion the maintenance operations across the Northern UK regions. This pivotal role goes beyond traditional oversight; it’s about crafting a vision for maintenance that integrates both operational excellence and innovative technical solutions.
We are looking for an individual who will be able to set the strategic direction within Tesco Property Maintenance and act as a vital part of the functional leadership team, consistently inspiring change, improvement and innovation.
You will be responsible for
- Encouraging and leading a large team across the region, supporting them to build highly motivated, diverse, and inclusive capable teams across your areas.
- Define and implementing plans that drive business performance always planning.
- Working collaboratively with internal and external partners to build successful teams and building effective relationships with partners and peers.
- Owning, leading, and negotiating for resources, including budgets & forecasting to reflect changing priorities.
- Responsible for the talent agenda – making decisions on strategic development and use of internal/ external capability.
- Leading, mentoring and nurturing the team to put customers and colleagues at the heart of what we do, where everyone knows their purpose and ensuring we are service, and customer led at all times.
- Ensuring your team are passionate about providing the tools, training, and direction to all our colleagues & working hard to embed an environment in which our colleagues want to work beneficially and collaboratively
- Being a custodian of health and safety across the business, following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.

You will need
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Previous experience within a facilities management or retail environment, running & leading a multi-disciplined delivery function.
- Ensure successful delivery of process improvement initiatives
- Excellent team player, able to develop positive relationships with colleagues, teams, and peers.
- Commercially aware and able to understand budgets.
- Customer focused.
- Clear understanding of service delivery & maintenance
- Consistent record of developing vast, successful teams.
- Awareness and experience of safe & legal compliance
