We have a fantastic role within the Group Security Team! A technical specialist who supports investigations and legal processes through the forensic acquisition and preparation of data from Tesco systems. A subject matter expert in the various systems and platforms used by GSR. Helps to configure and run the systems to allow colleagues to make the best operational use of the assets.

You will be responsible for

  • The collection of endpoint or network data using forensically sound procedures, detailing collection handling and chain-of-custody procedures in support of investigation or litigation requirements.
  • Analysing, interpreting and validating data extracted from computers and similar devices and communicating it to investigators or legal teams in a clear and usable format.
  • Transferring recovered data to e-discovery platforms and supporting colleagues in the use of such tools to achieve the best results.
  • Supporting investigators with advice, helping to formulate the IT forensic strategy as required.
  • Acting as a systems administrator for the various platforms used by GSR, supporting configuration, system changes/updates and data management/transfer.
  • Keeping up to date with developments in the field of Digital Forensics.
  • Conducting work place investigations in relation to colleagues involved in cyber related incidents.
  • In times of high demand or where specialist knowledge is required, providing support to the wider GSR team conducting non-cyber related investigations.
  • Supporting the wider Group Security and Resilience team as required.

You will need

  • A number of years experience providing digital forensic support to investigations or legal processes in a corporate or law enforcement setting (or a combination of both).
  • Hold a recognised digital forensics' qualification, such as GIAC Certified Forensic
  • Examiner (GCFE) or EnCE or EnCEP.
  • Experienced in using EnCase or similar forensic tool.
  • Good influencing and interpersonal skills and the ability to operate with confidence at all levels of the business.
  • Experienced in the use of a case management system.
