We have an exciting opportunity to proactively shape strategy and drive Tesco’s success, through great planning, reporting and insight. As part of the UK Central Finance FP&A team, you are uniquely placed to connect the dots and build a story across the business.

Our team partners the Group Finance Leadership Team, including Group CFO, and other business leaders, to provide relevant analysis and insight, to drive understanding and decision making. You will have the opportunity to lead reporting / planning cycles, with outputs going to both the Executive Committee and Plc Board.

You will be responsible for

  • Design and manage FP&A timelines (reporting and forecasting), ensuring timely communication with Commercial Finance teams.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to define necessary financial and non-financial inputs for each reporting/planning cycle.
  • Deliver presentations and insights to business leaders and key colleagues.
  • Analyse key commercial drivers to generate insight behind changes in sales, profit, cash, capital allocations and APM metrics (net debt, EPS).
  • Develop and improve reporting/planning tools and processes to achieve outstanding FP&A.
  • Ad-hoc projects and scenario evaluation to support our business leaders.

You will need

  • Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Natural curiosity to develop business understanding and challenge assumptions.
  • Excellent presentation skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly to senior audiences.
  • Highly motivated and organised, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Collaborative teammate with strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships across multiple teams.
  • High attention to detail, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis within a large, listed organisation is desirable.
