About The Property Transformation Programme  

At Tesco, property is a cornerstone of our success, supported by a complex global ecosystem. We’re entering an exciting phase, defining our roadmap for the next 3-5 years to equip colleagues with the right tools and capabilities to optimise our business. The Enabling Functions support various business units, including Property & Legal, Colleague, Comms and Finance teams. Our goal is to maintain a holistic programme view across all Enabling Functions, delivering high-value outcomes and fostering great career development opportunities.

You will be responsible for

As the Lead Technical Programme Manager (LTPM) for Property, you will coordinate numerous valuable, interdependent projects within the Property domain. Starting with Asset Lifecycle (ALC) which is a strategic programme covering a blend of behavioural and technical transformation, designed to enhance colleagues’ capabilities and optimise the business. This project will embed best practices in whole life asset management across our property assets and estate, supported by advanced technology industry leading systems and products.

While specific items may be managed by separate TPMs and programmes, you will be accountable for the overall portfolio, including line management responsibilities for two TPMs.

In this role, you wilI:

  • Lead complex, high-stakes programmes crucial to Tesco’s success.
  • Shape and define projects with ambiguous scopes.
  • Develop and track plans to achieve programme goals, keeping everyone informed.
  • Perform project budget/financial and resource management.
  • Mentor and guide teams, providing expert advice on delivery.
  • Balance best practices with Tesco’s priorities to find optimal solutions.
  • Anticipate risks, manage escalations, and improve delivery methodologies.

Your Experience:

  • A comprehensive understanding of the property sector
  • Familiarity with property/asset management software
  • Proven track record in delivering tech and infrastructure projects across multiple teams and geographies
  • RFP/RFI experience
  • Enterprise solution deployment
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills with senior management.
  • Ability to define processes and manage stakeholders effectively.
