About the role

We are delighted to share a new opportunity for a Lead People Portfolio Manager, reporting into the Head of Strategy & Planning and leading the definition, delivery, governance and maturity of the annual People Plan.​

The successful candidate will partner Group PLT to deliver the annual people plan through the group people portfolio, governance cycle and planning processes. This role is essential to enabling the People Leadership Team to make strategic, informed and timely decisions and bringing a holistic view of the work across the People Team in all markets, with a focus on balancing projects/change with BAU to optimise delivery within capacity. You will be responsible for championing the People Plan across the business and standing over internal and external reporting on behalf of the People Team.

You will be responsible for

  • Leading and driving maturity of People Planning & Portfolio team.​

  • Partnering the Group PLT on governance of the Portfolio through facilitation of quarterly, two weekly Group PLT meetings and Big Room Planning.​

  • Being the central point of contact across People on the People Portfolio; working with stakeholders to keep a transparent and accurate view of the portfolio, using this insight and holistic perspective to update on progress, support internal reporting, steer prioritisation and ensure joined up delivery.​

  • Championing the People Plan and engaging stakeholders across the people team, broader markets and functional leadership teams on the portfolio, processes and expectations of them.

  • Owning process for setting, tracking and performance against measures for in-year outcomes, with input from SMEs, People Strategy and People Data to inform progress, impact and prioritisation. ​

  • Leading new work assessment process to make sure new work identified in-year has the right sponsorship, review and resource allocated. ​

  • Partnering with People Finance planning manager to make sure the Portfolio reflects in-year financial performance against budget. ​

  • Leading external reporting on behalf of People function, including accountability to review and engaging stakeholders on new reporting requests. ​

  • Working with People Strategy Manager to align in-year plan with delivering long-term strategy ambition and linking our plans to broader business strategy, deliverables and timelines.

  • Partner with market people strategy and change teams, UK Business planning, functional and market business planning teams to ensure alignment to broader business plan, timelines and ensure dependencies in the Group People Plan are effectively managed.

  • Overseeing and leading development of standard and consistent process and tools to mature People Planning and Portfolio, including how we best prioritise based on scope, size, dependencies, compliance, capacity and absorbability.​

  • Engaging with and update risk, controls and audit teams with input to risk register, group audits etc.
