About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced colleague to join the non food development team as Lead Product Development Manager.
The role involves managing, coaching and supporting the wider non food development team, managing a small category area and helping to define our overarching vision and ambition for own brand development in our non food categories ensuring we develop and launch great quality, value & innovative products for customers.
You will be responsible for
- Leading a small team of Product Development Managers and Product Developers to ensure the delivery of the Product Development strategy across our own label range.
- Contributing to the strategic direction of the Product Development strategy within my area.
- Participating in Leadership team meetings and contributing to the broader Product Development plans.
- Leading change & contributing to the wider business projects, working with commercial, technical & marketing functions to deliver our plans.
- Developing & driving a future strategic product & supplier plan for my area that compliments the business plan.
- Ensuring all our products and are formulated in line with our product rules, corporate initiatives & brand guidelines.
- Keeping updated with trends in product & packaging, competitor activity & market dynamics & sharing with my team.
You will need
- Proven track record in product & proposition development.
- Range management in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience of working in the food industry or formal qualification.
- A passion for product & trends.
- Supplier & stakeholder management experience.
- Project & Critical management experience.
