About the role

We’re seeking a Global Project Coordinator to join the Customer & Colleague Engagement Centre (CCEC) Programme Management Office (PMO).  In this role you will support the management of the CCEC global portfolio by ensuring our plans are benefits led and effectively prioritised to deliver against our objectives.

This is a highly visible role with an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior management to facilitate change within the CCEC and Tesco Business Solutions (TBS).  Working as Global Project Coordinator you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution or projects from inception to completion, driving excellence and efficiencies through project management disciplines and robust governance routines. 

We are looking for a confident, resilient, and balanced individual; with a curious mind with critical thinking, highly organised with good attention to detail, always thinking of the bigger picture.

This role is based in our Dundee CCEC - blended working - minimum of 3 out of 5 days onsite each week.

You will be responsible for

  • Taking responsibility for projects form the overall portfolio, supporting the creation of project and programme plans, as part of planning and reporting standards set by PMO.
  • Acting as first point of escalation for the project or programme team, managing risks, issues, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Identifying and monitoring key dependencies across the portfolio.
  • Managing and leading governance routines ensuring the right level of control is in place, including project or programme reviews and reports.
  • Building effective relationships with subject matter experts and key stakeholders in the delivery of change.

You will need

Essential skills relevant for the job

  • Project Assistant, Programme Office, Change Management or similar.
  • Managing and delivering change.
  • Project administration; producing project plans, managing critical paths, maintaining RACIs and risk logs.
  • Project planning skills; requirements gathering, effective prioritisation and cost/ benefit analysis. managing risks and issues.
  • Stakeholder management and engagement, including effective influencing & communication skills.
  • Organising and planning, effective prioritisation and issue management.
  • Facilitation and conducting focus groups.

Experience relevant for the job

  • Business Studies, Business Administration, or related degree.
  • Project Coordinator/ Assistant, Programme Office, Change Management.
  • Project administration; producing project plans, managing critical paths, maintaining RACIs, risk logs, assumptions, and dependencies trackers.

Desirable skills relevant for the job

  • Professional project or programme qualification; APM Project Management Qualification Foundation and Practitioner, Lean Six Sigma or a similar methodology.
