We are delighted to share that  a unique position has arisen for an Assistant Merchandiser within Branch Space Planning on a 12 month FTC.

The successful candidate will work to strategically support the development of the SSP Planning processes, to create Store Sales Forecasts and reporting, which will feed into the trading mechanisms, to drive best profitability, through delivering the right stock, to the right Stores at the right time.

You will be responsible for

  • Supporting the seasonal space range planning, aligning activities across the Merchandising teams to support making the right decisions regarding space by Division.
  • Updating and monitoring sales plans for Stores that feed into the Grading process, to enable the right stock for Stores – investigating and utilising insight tools and developing Store Profiling, to further devise Grading and Attribute opportunities.
  • Producing actionable insight on how to best manage Stores Grading and Sales Forecasts.
  • Review and support the improvement of Space Planning tools to accurately forecast sales potential, with space changes – linking with Space Planning on all relevant projects.
  • Action the Store Development Space Planning Critical Path, to ensure the successful and timely processing of changes for Refits, New Stores & Closures – across UKROI & CE.
  • Work closely with Stock Planning and Space Planning, to coordinate changes to Grading and communicate performance planning.  
  • Contribute towards maximizing profit and sales by supporting with analysis on market trading opportunities and challenges. 
  • Contribute to key trading, merchandising and forecasting through awareness of the business trading status, key seasonal KPI’s, Event management and logistics patterns.
  • Support Line Manager with the innovation and simplification of current ways of working that will move the department forward and meet the needs of the F&F Strategy.
  • Look for opportunities to drive sales density, protect margin and reduce terminal stock across all global selling channels.
  • Support Line Manager and wider team with ad hoc analysis as required, and deputising where required.
