About the role

In this role you will lead the reporting, planning & analysis of Save to Invest and Capex across Channels, working closely with Central Finance and Group Finance. This position will play a key role in challenging and supporting the Channels Finance teams on optimising our Save to Invest programme to ensure we maximise our returns in line with our UK growth strategies.

You will be responsible for

  • Lead the S2I and Capex reporting across Channels including periodic reporting of drivers of variances and actionable insights. S2I initiatives for Channels is circa £300m per annum and Capex Investments circa £350m per annum
  • Challenge investment cases and help shape UK prioritisations through analysis of our programmes and alignment with rest of UK
  • Ensure capex reporting is accurate working alongside control teams to ensure projects are accurately reported and accrued
  • Work with the respective finance and business areas to understand risks & opportunities on capex plans
  • Consolidate and drive respective channels finance teams to create robust capex plans across forecast, budget and LTP including end to end financials captured
  • Consolidation and interrogation of all S2I initiatives across Channels, while helping to identify further in-year and future opportunities
  • Ensure all S2I financial reporting is fully supported across the UK business, which will require working across the Product, Property and Online Finance teams.
  • Other ad-hoc FP&A analysis and projects to support wider FP&A goals

You will need

  • Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Effective financial analysis skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Experience in business partnering with operations
  • The ability to present information in a clear and concise manner suitable for a senior audience
  • The drive, motivation and organisational skills to ensure self and team succeed in an environment of changing priorities
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships quickly with colleagues at all levels
