About the role

We are currently recruiting an Industrial Engineer to develop and deliver the Distribution work measurement programme and ensure that standards in the warehouse management systems are maintained with the most accurate timings available. You will develop and maintain the Distribution productivity model and provide insight and analysis for stakeholders, supporting Distribution Change Team projects end to end and guiding Programme Managers and Projects Managers on the most efficient methods of process changes.

You will be responsible for

  • Develop, plan and sign off the annual project work measurement programme
  • Coordinate and coach our independent Industrial Engineers to ensure they can deliver the work measurement plan
  • Develop and deliver accurate work measurement standard times using recognised work study techniques and tools including the Distribution Productivity Models
  • Develop and maintain the Distribution Productivity Models in line with the measurement plan, providing analysis of outputs
  • Produce informative presentations demonstrating results following completion of work study related projects
  • Implement and maintain Denver and Paperless systems with the latest accurate productivity standards
  • Deliver advisory expertise in all matters relating to productivity through engagement, communication and presentation, ensuring detail is flexed relevant to the target audience needs
  • Use data analysis to identify operational trends, changes and opportunities
  • Develop effective partnerships with project managers to ensure accurate and achievable project savings, contributing to wider business plan achievements
  • Apply work study techniques to support Business Change projects and ensure accuracy of business case models
  • Maintain the work study Distribution shared area with up-to-date productivity standards and respective data
  • Collaboratively enhance industrial relations with our recognised unions by supporting representatives and management services personnel
  • Engage Distribution Centre Managers and their teams on productivity, providing coaching on productivity queries and performance management systems, to maximise their ability to deliver performance

You will need

  • IMS certification 
  • Qualified MOST practitioner
  • Rating Certified Project Management (APM, MSP, Prince2)
  • Process Improvement skills (Kaizen, Lean, SixSigma)
  • Stakeholder management
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Analytical skills (Excel, VBA, SQL)
  • MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Visio, Project etc)
  • Experience of Distribution Operations
  • Experience of delivering operational improvement using relevant methodologies
  • Experience working in a business change role in an agile/dynamic environment
  • Some experience of Productivity / Industrial Engineering techniques
  • Versatility and ability to adapt and respond quickly to changing business priorities
