About the role
Marketplace is a key pillar of our strategy to be 'Easily the Most Convenient' grocer, offering customers the opportunity to shop a broad range of 3rd party products, alongside their core grocery basket, seamlessly on Tesco.com. To support with running Marketplace, we are in need of a Lead Seller Partnerships Manager who will leads the translation of our strategy into action by developing, maintaing and maxamising relationships with sellers to deliver a compelling range proposition for customers and achieve our GMV targets.
You will be responsible for
- Work with sellers to manage their accounts and ensure we achieve the commercial outcomes set out for Marketplace.
- Work alongside the Tesco Commercial colleagues to develop and execute category level strategies.
- Establish governance forums with Tesco Commercial teams and own relationships with category teams.
- Manage a growing team of Seller Partner Managers.
- Ensure there is a long term customer led plan, which drives customer loyalty.
- Drive problem solving, including identifying key issues and developing effective solutions
- Deliver my budget, by monitoring and driving partner performance, managing bad debt and providing accurate forecasts
- Effectively use insight to understand customer needs, market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities
- Manage partner performance, supporting them to build long term partner relationships with us through both strategy and growth
- I negotiate commercial agreements with partners, ensuring all agreements are recorded in writing, and leading a culture of compliance within my team
- I respond to change positively by developing improvement of our processes, operations and methodology
- I am always being cost conscious when making decisions
You will need
- Account management experience
- Record of effective joint business planning, programme management and delivery of cross-functional initiatives
- Strategy formulation, business development, corporate development in Online / Retail context
