About the role
As a Lead Maintenance Manager, you will be accountable for the Maintenance delivery, exceptional service, and store standards across circa 450 retail sites. Leading a team of up to 10 Maintenance Managers. Providing a safe, legal, and functioning estate for customers, Retail Colleagues & Stakeholders.
You will be responsible for
- Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence and have these specific risk responsibilities:
- Lead and support the delivery of Maintenance across circa 450 stores whilst developing and driving safety Initiatives and campaigns that provide a functional, safe, and legal environment for colleagues and customers.
- Lead, engage and develop a diverse and inclusive team of up to 10 Maintenance Managers, circa 150 multi skilled technicians, constantly raising the performance standards everyday through regular 1-2-1s, and development/coaching, and performance related conversations.
- Take responsibility for personal development and teams’ development.
- Consistently review the workload and capacity of my team to ensure prioritization, efficiency, and business continuity.
- Ensure the delivery of financial control through excellent analysis and judgement
- Delivery of Fleet, Headcount, Overtime, Parts, General repairs, capital and budgets. Ensuring clarity on any forecast/budgetary changes
- Delivery of Critical Asset Availability through Daily Operational Review activity, by diagnosing, and recommending solutions to operational challenges, using specialist knowledge, and operational expertise, and resources, where appropriate.
- Support the delivery of Program and Project creation.
- Delivers plans from 3 months to one year with impact felt at 6 months.
- Delivering the company KPI`s and supporting improvement where they are not achieved.
- Communicate and build effective relationships with stakeholders and colleagues within internal and external functions.
- Manage expectations and escalations of SD`s and attend RD meetings, owning accountability for North / Central / South maintenance delivery.
- Ensuring compliance in any audit activities

You will need
Experience relevant for this role:
- Remote leadership of Technical Management teams
- Comparable Retail, Facilities or Manufacturing Maintenance management experience
- People leadership and Development
- Leading and Implementing change programs
- Technical and Maintenance Eng. appreciation/experience
