About the role

As a Leadership Team Assistant, you'll support Tesco's Business Leaders and Directors to achieve their priorities through effective diary and inbox management and alongside providing flexible, cross-functional support to assist your peers.

The Hiring Manager for this vacancy is Laura Clark

You will be responsible for

  • Majority focus on managing Business Leaders and Directors' diaries, organising and prioritising their time to make them as efficient possible to support their work priorities Arranging meetings such as 121s and team meetings, taking accountability for location and agendas
  • Flagging and actioning emails only where critical e.g. no response would pose a business risk
  • Encouraging Business Leaders and Directors and their teams to self-serve e.g. Work & Pay, capturing next steps/taking notes, printing, expenses, functional projects
  • Identifying future opportunities to self-serve, simplify and streamline activities so I can focus the majority of my time on co-ordinating Business Leaders and Directors. Flexible, cross-functional support
  • Having capacity to support Business Leaders and Directors across all Office functions, including holiday cover for my colleagues
  • Supporting Business Leaders and Directors to make the best use of their time by following up on next steps, producing executive summaries and allowing time for meeting preparation
  • Working with third parties to organise national and international travel, always seeking the most cost effective and simple arrangements
  • Working with the Events team to brief them on any large events for my Business Leaders and Directors
  • Administrative tasks e.g. raising POs, visa applications
  • Identifying and working with external agencies, focusing on great value for money
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence

You will need

  • Experience in a similar role supporting a similar level of seniority
  • Knowledge of resource booking systems
  • Organisation, planning and prioritisation
  • Effective communication
