About the role

The business planning centre of expertise sits across the four Value Streams and is the primary point of contact for ‘Easily the Most Convenient’ and ‘I Love My Tesco Clubcard’ strategic drivers. The role covers a range of business initiatives working with cross functional squads. An agile mindset for this role will be key, being able to inspect and adapt and focus on people and collaboration over process.

You will be responsible for

Delivery:

Responsible for managing the portfolio plan, tracking all initiatives and changes that are in flight or planned across the strategic driver. Facilitate and / or attend ceremony and governance meetings to connect with squads, track progress against OKR’s and share relevant cross value stream and wider business project updates and impacts. Tracking and updating on the progress, opportunities, risks and milestones across the strategic driver portfolio for upwards reporting to UK Leadership teams and Executive meetings. Sharing and reporting information to relevant stakeholders, including senior leadership, when required.

Alignment:

Monitor and track interdependencies both internally within the Value Streams and externally across the broader Tesco business and strategic drivers. Inspect and adapt ways of working and tools to drive improvements and alignments across the Value Streams. Partner with Group and International Tesco teams to share best practice, key learnings, and support with international strategy development. Facilitate value stream and / or business function update and inform sessions.

 

Strategy & Planning

Support the strategic long-term planning process, ensuring alignment to our strategy and objectives. Support the annual planning process ensuring programme / project plans are shared with UK Business Planning and relevant Delivery Partners.
