About the role

You will work within Business Support to manage and align streams of work for channels, ensuring we always serve customers, communities and the planet a little better everyday.

You will be agile in your approach, working across different areas of our business planning and Business Support operations to ensure plans are aligned in support of the Service Delivery Model and our strategic goals/drivers.

You will be responsible for

  • Partnering transformation teams and Project Managers to plan, monitor and control portfolios which feature in the long term plan
  • Identifying any risks, working with the relevant Project Manager(s) to enable mitigation or re-alignment for the long term plan
  • Managing and facilitating the capture of Long Term and Annual Plan data for Channels programmes, collaborating with teams to ensure accuracy in financial and project detail required against milestones
  • Drive alignment with tech and property teams through engagement of programmes across stakeholders, maintaining accuracy in project reporting, support steering updates and identify risks and issues to critical paths where dependencies do not align
  • Owning, updating and communicating the financial impact data which is shared by project managers to ensure all stakeholders are fully aware of the financials at all points during the programme updates
  • Ensuring data integrity through rigorous planning, monitoring, communication and financial controls
  • Ensuring effective communications with Project Managers and Heads of Transformation teams to ensure numbers submitted and any subsequent changes are fully understood
  • Developing and maintaining simple controls and ways of working to maximise productivity
  • Coaching and sharing information and ways of working to ensure Project Managers and Heads of Transformation teams are fully supported in their roles
  • Regularly attending transformation teams’ meetings to understand the plan(s); ensuring progress and performance is captured and simple, consistent reporting flows to the leadership team, providing support where needed
  • Ensuring full alignment to the Service Delivery Model (SDM)process and timescales, working with the Business Planning Manager where improvements and enhancements are required or recommended
  • Listening to feedback and recommending improvements to processes and ways of working, building a continuous improvement culture within the team
  • Adhering and aligning to programme governance processes as defined by the Heads of Transformation for their programmes of work
  • Building and maintaining effective partnering relationships with the Finance team; liaising with Productivity and where required bring appropriate teams together to have one conversation
