About the role
As Audit Manager - Technology, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of technology, security and integrated audits that contribute to our global audit programme, delivering independent assurance and insight to the business and acting as a catalyst for change.
The role involves leading and managing co-source partners to deliver the Technology assurance plan. This includes Technology audits and integrated audits that contribute to our global audit programme.
You will collaborate with key partners, and in particular the Technology leaders, to identify the key risks, assess how we are handling these risks and identify solutions that will genuinely improve the business. This covers all areas of Tesco’s Technology environment, including IT-related processes, IT service providers, information security, and technology infrastructure as well as privacy (such as GDPR).
The success of Audit Manager - Technology is measured by their ability to provide actionable insights and provide independent assurance to a consistently high standard and to be a catalyst for change in the business.
You will be responsible for
- Proactively communicating with internal and external team members to inform, advance, seek advise and decisions.
- Working with the business collaborators to ensure that the key risks in each business unit are understood, the key developments and change projects are monitored, and audit issues are addressed in a timely and effective manner
- Helping develop a multifaceted and risk-based internal audit plan considering the internal and external risks, other developments and change in the organisation
- Writing Audit Reports and key audit deliverables, providing accurate and timely information to key partners such as the Executive and Audit Committee and Board reporting
- Delivering a programme of audits (strategic, operational, change, financial or compliance) from planning to reporting, including execution of data analytics
- Facilitating workshops to drive follow up/conclusion of agreed actions arising from audits
- Delivering high quality, impactful and value-adding internal audit reports.
- Continually looking for ways to improve the audit function and to deliver balanced improvements to the department.
- Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.
You will need
- Demonstrable internal technology audit experience, including Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) experience
- Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills including experience in delivering assurance with exposure to PowerBI, Tableau and Alteryx preferred.
- CISA, CISSP, CIPP/E, CISM, ISO or other relevant technology and security qualifications.
- Experience of audit and advisory in a wide variety of technology and security topics, in a lead auditor capacity - Cyber Security experience is preferred.
- Understanding of governance and compliance requirements, and related processes in large and complex organisations, experience in retail preferred.
- Personal drive and initiative, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment whilst running concurrent projects.
- Project and organisational change skills, as well as personal organisation and planning skills.
