About the role

Developing technical standards by working with my stakeholders and technical suppliers across the group to create value for customers and to meet our business long time needs.

You will be responsible for

  • Identifying opportunities to develop and improve our engineering controls platforms.
  • Developing world class standards which support the delivery of the annual business plan for Property.
  • Working cross functionally with techincal and operational teams to deliver of the Group technical standards.
  • Understanding our existing platforms and working with colleagues to explore and inform short, medium and long term plans.
  • Identifying ways to drive continuous improvement; I identify ways to deliver better, simpler and cheaper solutions
  • Developing productive relationships with industry experts, colleagues and stakeholders (IT, technology and Property), I energize and influence others to get the job done and deliver great results.
  • Work with all my colleagues and stakeholders to ensure the correct solutions are in place to meet today's and future needs of our store and DC controls equipment.
  • Bringing technical innovation and new ideas to ensuring the business to stays up to date. 

You will need

  • Detailed understanding of plant and controls products and services within the controls sector.
  • An open minded approach to innovation and the future needs of the business.
  • Experience of project design and delivery, writing specifications in the controls and BMS sector.
  • Good understanding of industry standards and relevant legislation.
