About the role

As a Brand Expression Manager, you will define, develop and deliver the visual expression of the Tesco Brand. Delivering and supporting solutions that are right for our customers, colleagues and the business, being customer focussed in everything you do.

You will be responsible for

  • Interpreting the business strategy and Customer plan in order to translate all projects we deliver and support.
  • Understanding and considering the impact of our project work across all channels and areas of the business in order to deliver a consistent, cohesive and considered brand identity and approach.
  • Acting as a Brand Guardian and ensuring we are clear on how the Tesco brand looks, feels and speaks.
  • Providing support and advice across the business for all aspects of Brand expression, communication and alignment.
  • Supporting colleagues and agencies through specific design forums and Marketing processes.
  • Leading the development of brand standard guidelines, seasonal and propositional toolkits
  • Regularly supporting multiple channels; from packaging, communications, store design and executional teams to ensure what we deliver is considered and aligned to the broader business strategy.
  • Developing strong creative projects that are innovative, market leading and right for both customers and colleagues.
  • Leading design agencies from briefing, design development and then through to delivery.  
  • To drive the design strategy and ensure creative excellence at all times.
  • Creating and following critical paths, managing risks and budgets and working collaboratively with NWT's. 
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence

Experience relevant for this job:

  • Degree educated in a design related field
  • Project Management 
  • Presentation skills
  • Brief writing
  • Defining and creating brand communication strategies 
  • Understanding of the retailing landscape
