About the role

I have accountability for planning and delivering DSEAR Risk assessments and associated hazard drawing across the PFS estate along with routine coordination between the capital delivery team and retail colleagues.

You will be responsible for

  • Owning the DSEAR Risk Assessment process, from scheduling a rolling programme with site visits, writing, updating, publishing and releasing completed documents to stakeholders within the petroleum estate.
  • Developing systems that ensure consistency of assessment and standardisation of hazard identification and recording.
  • Coordinating the production of Hazard Zone Drawings with CAD designer and offering advice in the production with a knowledge of forecourt equipment and their interaction with specific environments.
  • Ensuring gathered information and generated report conforms to expected standards.
  • Supporting the petroleum engineering team by attending capital works site scoping meetings to maintain works focus and maintain engineering and design standards.
  • Supporting the petroleum engineering team by attending site progress and snagging meetings to review completion of works against scope of works to ensure good value for money.
  • Supporting the petroleum engineering team by attending site handover meetings following heavy intrusive works or extended closure, and provide property ownership and oversight of the PFS transition from capital works delivery back to stores.

You will need

Operational skills relevant for this job:

  • Excellent team player, able to develop strong relationships with colleagues and peers.
  • Commercially aware and able to understand budgets
  • Customer focused.
  • Clear understanding of project delivery & managing programmes of work.
  • Broad technical engineering knowledge across petroleum infrastructure.

Experience relevant for this job:

  • Suitable qualification or demonstrable competence, knowledge, skill and experience to conduct DSEAR Risk assessments within the petroleum industry.
  • Demonstrable track record within the fuel retailing sector including operations, maintenance, legal compliance and emergency response to incidents.
  • Knowledge of the internal workings and construction of forecourts, sufficient to understand hazards.
