About the role

Are you someone that can balance exceptional delivery for customers on what matters with the needs of the business. Are you happy prepared to be the first layer of management and become an expert in the projects you are responsible for?

As a Project Manager working for Tesco you will be responsible for day to day management of Technology Change Projects, ensuring Agreed outcomes are delivered within budget and timelines.

You will be responsible for

  • Setting up governance forums by engaging key sponsors and subject matter experts.
  • Building project cases (incl. agreeing scope and objectives) and identifying key areas of improvements
  • Managing key collaborators and dependencies to establish ways of working and alignment of approaches.
  • Producing the initial project plan, subsequently tracking and reporting progress and implementing projects on time and on budget.
  • Supporting to map and record the future state of the process architecture.
  • Crafting and implementing global simplification opportunities.
  • Setting up project/team budgeting, planning and deliverable creation processes.
  • Identifying and leading project risks and issues, advancing these issues where appropriate.
  • Leading the project team at the same time as supporting team member on the job learning.
  • Supervising project benefits after launch against the original case and measures of success.
  • Collecting lessons learned in conjunction with team members and other key collaborators.

  • Project Management experience from concept to implementation within a complex large organisation.
