About the role

Within Space, Range & Merchandising (SRM), the Range Optimisation team’s primary focus is to help build the best ranges for our customers in the right stores, applying cutting edge science created by Tesco and or/our close partners at dunnhumby. This involves working collaboratively with other stakeholders across the business, particularly commercial, to ensure these land successfully.

As a Lead Analytics Manager in SRM you will lead development projects that optimise our range, making it better from a customer, category and commercial perspective, as well as driving future range resets to ensure we deliver against our profit objectives for next year.

We are looking for an analytical problem solver, and an energetic & creative thinker who believes in a culture of learning, improvement and personal development.

You will be responsible for

  • Driving the strategy and execution of range resets for Tesco next year across all Food areas
  • Owning a plan across cross functional teams helping the resets to deliver from a profitability perspective whilst also factoring in operational efficiencies, aligned range and pricing principles & an optimised macro space strategy
  • Owning and maintaining all range principles across total estate
  • Building great relationships with our stakeholders across Product, Channels and Customer, dunnhumby, Pricing, and Supply Chain
  • Leading analysis and insight to drive customer focused ranging decisions that are profitable for Tesco
  • Leading and inspiring a team of four to maximise their development and potential
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence

You will need

  • Experience within Commercial, Supply Chain, or SRM with a track record of getting results
  • Great at building relationships, influencing decision makers, and taking people with you
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable pulling together a narrative
  • Excellent management skills, with a desire to motivate and develop a high performing team
  • Numerically strong, with data analytical skills that lead to sound recommendations, and great attention to detail
  • Respond well to pressure with an ability to hit tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-organised and highly motivated, as well as a go-getter attitude
  • Excited at the prospect of joining the team who are on a mission to create better ranges for customers, colleagues and Tesco
