About the role

Tesco Group Finance is seeking a Head of Corporate Development, to join the team on a 6-month fixed term contract!

Reporting into the Group Corporate Development and IR Director, you will support the Group’s inorganic strategy through partnering with Group Business Units, markets and cross functional teams. The role involves leading the management and execution of opportunities that involve M&A, JV’s, Partnerships and Alliances.

You will be responsible for

  • Manage the evaluation of inorganic opportunities whether originated internally or in response to inbounds
  • Prepare briefing materials for senior colleagues, as well as regularly partner with CEO, CFO and GC
  • Lead the end-to-end process of transactions and other inorganic strategic projects
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with external advisors

You will need

  • Big 4 Lead Advisory / IBD / In-House Corporate Development
  • Experience within a transaction environment
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong ability in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word with a focus on analytical and presentational skills
  • Ability to build, input into and review financial models and DCF’s to facilitate evaluation of opportunities
  • Understanding of how to value a business and assess returns
