About the role

As a Senior Analyst in Space, Range and Merchandising you will lead development projects that optimise our range, making it better for customers, colleagues, suppliers and Tesco.

We are looking for an analytical problem solver, an energetic & creative thinker who is buzzing at the prospect of joining the team who are on a mission to create better ranges.

The Hiring Manager for this vacancy is Sonal Haria. 

You will be responsible for

• Leading analysis on range simplification and optimisation. Developing new logic to build the best ranges, optimised for both profit and for customers, including a focus on store specific ranging
• Working with consultants and product teams (dunnhumby & myProduct: Range) to improve the way we share our recommendations
• Engaging with the categories to trial our range recommendations to ensure they are the best they can be
• Building great relationships with our stakeholders across Product, Channels and Customer so that we are a seen as a credible, trusted team that maximises opportunities
• Utilising available data sources to lead analysis and insight to drive customer & profit focused internal decisions that make sense for Tesco
• Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence

You will need

• Numerically strong, with experience in analytical or commercial roles
• Evidence of working as part of a team, working towards collective goals
• Ability to influence stakeholders, using data to back up these recommendations
• Good communication and presentation skills, comfortable pulling together a narrative
• Go-getter attitude with a love for learning, changing, and improving
• Great attention to detail
• Commercial savviness, with a clear understanding of the market we operate in
• Respond well to pressure and hitting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Self-organised
