About the role

We are looking for an individual to provide the leadership necessary to make Tesco resilient through a policy framework and plan to protect against principle and enterprise risks. The successful applicant will also be the lead for the organisation in handling People Security in critical and high risk scenarios.

You will be responsible for

  • Crafting and delivering Tesco Business Resilience strategy.
  • Developing policy and procedure as to how Tesco delivers Business Continuity, Crisis Management and Incident plans for principle and enterprise risks.
  • Driving the creation of documents, training to support Tesco Resilience
  • Preparing senior partners to handle critical events through the design & delivery of a programme of crisis management exercises
  • Working in collaboration with colleagues to identify essential processes and critical activities to assist at times of crisis to deliver in line with our priorities.
  • Developing threat intelligence requirements and considerations to prepare Tesco for future risks.
  • Nurturing resilience across the Tesco Group and through building an innovative, committed team and establishing a network of like minded people across the business to share knowledge
  • Providing leadership & mentorship to enable Business Units to handle crisis
  • Developing and leading a successful team, giving them opportunities to be their best
  • Following our Code of Business Conduct and always act with integrity and due diligence

You will need

  • Demonstrable experience of developing and leading a successful team of experts
  • Experience in setting organisational strategy and effective prioritisation
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills
  • A track record of implementing change
  • Experience in Crisis Management
