About the role

In this role you will play a key role to enable the delivery of the Group Technology Portfolio. As demands on Technology increase, there is a need to ensure that non-technical processes are as simple, streamlined and effective as possible to enable teams to operate efficiently and without duplication. You will work with the Portfolio and Operations team as well as stakeholders across Technology to lead, identify and implement process improvement to simplify and improve operational effectiveness, enabling our global Technology operation. You will be expected to work on a number of different priorities, to ensure that as a function we evolve in line with the broader business requirements.

You will be responsible for

  • Designing, setting and rolling out portfolio standards and processes across Technology that drive clear value and benefit to both centralised and local departmental teams
  • Improving the efficiency of operational non-technical processes from Portfolio and Operations that impact all Technology colleagues
  • Drive the use of data and insight across the department, providing intelligence to support strategic/long term planning processes
  • Drive the use of standard and consistent tooling
  • Working collaboratively across Portfolio, Resource, Excellence and Finance teams to ensure a joined-up approach to managing Technology delivery
  • Working with stakeholders in Technology to keep a transparent and accurate view of the Technology portfolio, using this insight and the benefit of a holistic view to steer the work we do and when
  • Measure performance across the domain area, providing intelligence to support strategic/long term planning processes

You will need

 

  • Programme / Portfolio management office experience (essential)
  • Process improvement experience (essential)
  • First-hand experience writing engagement communication material
  • Familiar with and able to manipulate financial information
  • Working in fast paced / project environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation
  • Strong and clear verbal and written communication
  • Numeric with great attention to detail
  • Ability to juggle changing priorities, managing workload effectively
  • Curious and able to join up various types of information / holistic thinking to reach conclusions
