About the role

Are you a Product Manager who take a methodical approach to work and has excellent attention to detail?Have you led a team to success before or have aspirations to do so? Well, we have an exciting position at Tesco as a Lead Product Manager to look after our Core HR & Access product and this role might suit you!

  • Drive Core HR and Access product strategy and roadmap by making right recommendations for the product.
  • Lead a hard-working team of product managers; ensuring that team is supported to reach their full potential. Lead by example and drive a culture of continuous growth and improvement.
  • Discover, manage, prioritise and deliver the backlog of epics, user stories, personas, and acceptance tests for the product using tier 1 products like Oracle HCM Cloud and others,
  • Define detailed product specifications by using out of the box product features and limiting product customisations to maintain a well-defined backlog and avoid building the technical debt to product.
  • Be a champion for our colleagues and business, with excellent partner relationships.
  • Build a full understanding of partners needs and their common problems and respond to them through the product improvements.
  • Capture user feedback to build future requirements.
  • Drive experiments against defined hypotheses, build MVPs for robust data-driven decision.
  • Work in partnership with other product teams, engineering and testing teams to develop a superb product
  • Use data to drive decisions and measure the efficiency of the outcome in terms of value to the end users.
  • Handle conflicting priorities well, communicate clearly and understand how to drive a high level of focus and excellence with a strong, dedicated, and outspoken team.

You will be responsible for

You will need

  • Strong knowledge & experience of product management practices, methodologies & tools.
  • Strong line management experience with ability to lead a team of experienced product managers.
  • Good experience with global & large-scale retail transformations for People products & jobs to be done.
  • Strong experience of leading HR products like Oracle HCM cloud and others
  • Technically competent to understand & influence solution, estimate complexity & build effort.
  • Strong communicator and excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Building a partnership approach to working with business teams
  • Experience of working in a Product or Technology background
  • Ability to work with multiple teams to deliver projects, often across time zones
  • Experience with use of JIRA is desirable
