About the role

Part of the Logistics Operations team, managing the execution of the end-to-end shipment and delivery of direct sourced product. Ensuring that our customers get what they want, when they want it and wherever they want it.

You will be responsible for

  • Manage the forecasting process to ensure that logistics suppliers move our orders from origin to destination as required by the customer (On-time and in full).
  • Build relationship with suppliers through regular contact, status updates and reporting tools.
  • Fully accountable for Logistics supplier performance, in collaboration with Logistics Performance Management team – managing exceptions and driving consistency in the supplier performance.
  • Manage Logistics Suppliers to ensure Ways of Working are compliant and up to date, capacity is managed in accordance with our allocations and we gain full visibility of all orders.
  • Work with the Logistics Development team to support new initiatives and land any changed ways of working across your area of responsibility.
  • Anticipate and respond to operational exceptions, ensuring that they are managed to resolution efficiently to minimise cost and impact.
  • Support and sometimes lead Ad-Hoc project requests by working in collaboration with key stakeholders across the business (both internal and external).
  • Monitor and measure KPI performance of Logistics Suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver against operational targets.

You will need

Experience: 

  • End-2-End model expertise and knowledge (Sea, Air, Road/Rail).
  • Detailed understanding of the port-to-port, origin and destination operations.
  • Managing 3rd party supplier relationships.
  • Strong internal network of Colleagues (peers and seniors) in commercial and operational departments.

Operational skills:

  • Data analysis: able to translate and communicate simply highly technical information from operational metric data sets.
  • Financial acumen: understanding financial implications of operational activities and strike the right balance between excellence and cost control.
  • Issue Resolution: can quickly identify issues/trends to eliminate issues and/or drive immediate improvements.
