Tesco offers online Grocery Home Shopping in 6 countries. In central Europe (Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia) and in Asia (Thailand, Malaysia). Customers use Website and mobile Apps in these countries to shop online. All these digital platforms are powered by underlying iGHS specific APIs which enables registration, login, product search, build basket, checkout, payment, amend order, cancel order and a back office application, all referred to as CORE team

Whilst specific responsibilities will be dependent upon the changing needs of the Tesco business, the following provides an overview of the role’s key responsibilities and measures: 

·         Product ownership of the core team in building group repeatable features.

·         Building a product backlog based on evidence (from research & insights) focussing on the outcomes to drive the greatest business value.  

·         Working closely with product managers of front end team (websites and Apps), fulfilment teams (Transport and Tills) to prioritise the backlog and achieve business objectives.

·         Thinking around all new features for all markets and as a piece of core functionality for the group, working with in country teams to agree whether they want to utilise it.

·         Ability to document and clearly explain requirements to the wider business, product and Technology teams 

·         This role will best suit an individual who enjoys working as part of a team, is well organised, collaborative, pragmatic and, most importantly, puts our customers first.

You will be responsible for

You’ll need to have demonstrated experience of: 

 

·         A basic understanding of software development, be able to hold technical conversations and know when to challenge and ask questions. 

·         Have strong Problem Solving skills and can provide logical solutions to complex problems. 

·         Able to support with maintaining a "well refined" product backlog  

·         Demonstrate understanding of Agile and SCRUM methodology along with the expected roles & responsibilities of a Product Owner. 

·         Follow the processes and steps required to take new product features from idea through to delivery by collaborating with various cross-functional teams. 

·         Have the aptitude to learn new Product area/domain quickly. 

·         Bachelor’s degree or demonstrable experience required
