About the role

Tesco.com is aiming to be 'Easily the Most Convenient' grocer, offering our customers the opportunity to shop a broad range of products and missions online alongside their core grocery basket. To support with delivering our strategy, we are in need of an Online Development Manager who will help us translate our strategy into action, working with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver a major strategic initiative to transform the range available to our customers, enabling us to meet a wider variety of customer need states and improve the online shopping experience.

You will be responsible for

Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence and have these specific risk responsibilities:

• Be part of a team launching a brand new proposition on Tesco.com 
• You will work alongside the Tesco Commercial and Online colleagues to develop and execute category level range strategy.
• You will be responsible for then bringing this strategy to life online for customers by identifying, recruiting and onboarding new sellers and brands onto Tesco.com
• You will work with the Product team at Tesco.com to identify and prioritize any improvements to our shopping experience to support new categories using a data driven and customer centric approach.
• Partner with sellers on their range, merchandising and promotional plans to maximize their business on Tesco.com

You will need

• Experience operating in a commercial, retail environment (preference for experience working with external suppliers)
• Experience working in e-commerce
• Strategy formulation and corporate development in Online / Retail / Consulting context
• Record of effective joint business planning, programme management and delivery of cross-functional initiatives
