About the role

Are you looking for your first role in Technology? Do you have a way with words and excellent attention to detail? Well, we have an exciting position at Tesco for an Associate Product Manager to look after our in-house products and this role might suit you!

 

Supporting our Colleagues, People Partners, Line Managers and collaborating with key business partners, being a part of the ‘Work’ product team means supporting stores with queries through helping to deliver, through identifying requirements, completing business acceptance testing, supporting workarounds & defect management.

Ensuring our Work & Pay solution is defect free and has a continuous improvement roadmap ensures the product remains aligned to our business requirements alongside our policy and legislative commitments.

Being part of a team supporting our SaaS cloud People Payroll Solution, you will support an ever-evolving product, raising ideas and working with customer connection networks to bring in standard methodology and ensure we take advantage of improvements for the best colleague experience.

You will be responsible for

 

Handling colleague help tickets that are prioritised to tier 2 in a timely manner. Following up to tier 1 agents, end users or product teams where required.

  • Advising Product Managers to understand the strategy & providing or suggesting solutions.
  • Supporting Product Managers by attending meetings & liaising with the relevant teams e.g. policy, reward, other product areas, to ensure work plans are understood & requirements are captured.
  • Documenting the current processes & product design principles.
  • Finding opportunities or mechanisms to support smooth delivery of routines, increasing efficiency & understanding, reducing queries & administration & streamlining procedures.
  • Reviewing or writing test scripts, delivering feedback on any gaps or opportunities for improving ways of working & ensuring acceptance criteria, regression packs & automated tests are updated.
  • Carrying out structured & ad hoc testing, raising defects on JIRA, understanding root cause of issues identified & putting improvements in place to reduce re-occurrence.
  • Supporting with identifying, tracking, managing & resolving current issues and defects.
  • Championing the landing of product changes through writing, maintaining & updating colleague help guides, completing manual workarounds as short-term solutions, collecting feedback from end users & measuring effectiveness of change against important metrics.
  • Continuously developing own professional learning and capability, utilising training, networks & latest thinking in this field.
