About the role

As the Space, Range and Merchandising (SRM) Lead Analytics Manager in Supply Chain Development & Change you will lead a small team of analysts to deliver projects that optimise our Space, Range and Merchandising reporting to improve availability for customers and reduce cost and complexity for suppliers and Tesco.

You will be responsible for

  • Reviewing the SRM insights analytics processes
  • Complete a stop/start/continue of all reporting; the output of this will be (i) clarity on the value current reporting brings (some of it may need to be evolved or stopped (ii) identification of future reporting needs to support the SRM Dev & Change
  • Identify automation opportunities and simplification requirements
  • Leading, coaching and developing your team in analysing data & processes to quantify opportunities and design solutions.
  • Directing your analysts to build, trial and rollout improvements to SRM reporting that deliver significant savings
  • Understanding the unique challenges faced in the Group countries, identifying how UK systems and processes need to be adapted to meet their needs
  • Identifying when Group countries aren’t following the right process in practice
  • Building and managing the plan to upgrade Group systems and bring processes into line
  • Supporting trials in the countries to ensure solutions deliver as expected.
  • Leading and inspiring your team to maximise their development and potential

You will need

Ideally from a Programme / Process engineering background, you will need to have demonstrated experience of the following;

  • Strong stakeholder management including influencing and presentation skills
  • Strong project management
  • Data analysis
  • Root cause analysis
  • Process or system improvement
  • Delivering through others
  • People management, coaching and developing
  • Using tools to extract & and analyse data (especially SQL, Excel)
  • Data science methods
  • Retail experience advantageous
  • Working with supply chain systems and operations
  • Highly numerate degree from a recognised institution
