About the role

I have accountability for planning and delivering both reactive and proactive capital investment plans, utilising engineering trials and all available data sources to help elongate the life our assets.

You will be responsible for

  •  Developing and owning a year on year capital investment plan identifying opportunities to improve the condition of assets across the estate
  •  Managing within budget the reactive and proactive capital plans
  •  Producing business cases supporting capital spend for each plan taking into account asset depreciation and impaired stores.
  •  To monitor, resolve, and escalate as appropriate any risks and issues associated with the plan or project.
  •  Ensuring projects are delivered in line with Health & Safety legislation and CDM requirements
  •  Ensuring all asset registers, O&M’s and estate information is updated post installation and project completion
  •  Carrying out a comprehensive review of implemented capital projects to ensure project specific objectives and KPI’s are met and the quality of installation and commissioning is completed to a high standard.
  •  Working with Engineering colleagues to support the definition and creation of maintenance plans and design standards for critical equipment 
  •  Continually monitor and achieve statutory compliance across the estate

You will need

Experience relevant for this job:

  • A track record of achievement in a fast moving 24/7 environment, preferably retail
  • Experience of specification writing, procurement, project management, installation, assurance and maintenance of mechanical, electrical and/or building fabric 
  • Awareness and experience of safe & legal compliance

Operational skills relevant for this job:

  • Excellent team player, able to develop strong relationships with colleagues and peers
  • Commercially aware and able to understand budgets
  • Customer focussed 
  • Clear understanding of project delivery & maintenance
