About the role

Are you a natural problem solver who take a methodical approach to work and has excellent attention to detail? Well, we have an exciting position at Tesco as a Product Manager to look after our Work & Pay product and this role might suit you!

In this role allows you to help make Work & Pay a little better every day. Ensuring all our colleagues get paid accurately is no small task, to support this, the role requires a high level of attention to detail from writing Colleague Help How-To Guides to supporting detailed colleague queries.

We are keen to find someone who drives continuous improvement, crafting the product features is at the core of this role. Running the backlog and prioritising many aspects from ideas raised from the business, compliance, legislative updates and defects, this is a fast-paced role to ensure our solutions continue align with the business.

Helping to define the roadmap for the Work & Pay solution alongside Heads of Product, with multiple Business Partners and business channels from Retail, Head Office and Tesco Bank

  • Backlog prioritisation, understanding business requirements and the priorities to deliver within agreed timelines
  • Working with collaborators raising new insights document requirements and drive continuous improvement using Jira creating appropriate Epics & User Stories
  • Completing and presenting the impact assessment of the Oracle HCM Cloud quarterly patch bundles to end business partners
  • Raising and managing defects from refinement to deployment, liaising with our engineering and QA teams for resolution
  • Deliver training to colleagues on how to best use the product, supporting knowledge share sessions
  • Facilitate business acceptance testing with end users, collecting feedback and gaining approval to deploy
  • Manage & facilitate user groups collecting feedback from our colleague to help improve the colleague experience and deliver new features
  • Work with 3rd party suppliers to updating learning solutions and digital adoption platforms to ensure successful user adoption of the product

 

You will be responsible for

  • Creating and maintaining colleague guide, support and ‘How-to’ guides
  • Supporting more complex colleague queries via Tier 2 tickets
  • Raising and managing defects from refinement to deployment, liaising with our engineering and QA teams for resolution
  • Supporting the impact assessment of the Oracle HCM Cloud quarterly patch bundles
  • Working with stakeholders raising new ideas to document requirements and drive continuous improvement of the product using Jira creating appropriate Epics & User Stories
  • Deliver training to colleagues on how to best use the product, supporting knowledgeshare sessions
  • Support business acceptance testing with end users, collecting feedback and gaining approval to deploy
  • Work with 3rd party suppliers to updating learning solutions and digital adoption platforms to ensure successful user adoption of the product
  • Support the delivery of manual workarounds where long term strategic solutions are not yet delivered
  • Connect with other Oracle HCM Cloud customers via Oracle Customer Connect and user groups to constantly remain up to date on the product and develop your knowledge
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence
  • Working across different functions to understand the impacts of product releases

You will need

  • Prior experience with Oracle HCM Cloud - Global Human Resources & Payroll modules highly desirable
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, data mapping experience with volume data and ability to priorities
  • Understanding of a typical Software Development Lifecycle and how software products are built
  • A theoretical knowledge of Product management
  • Prior experience in developing/ managing a product is desirable

  • A methodical and analytical approach, great problem-solving skills and can provide logical answers to complex problems.
  • Used good prioritisation techniques to manage workload accordingly to delivery timelines
  • Attitude and the aptitude to learn new product area/domain quickly.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Great presentation skills and can present ideas/ thoughts/ plans with stakeholders with clarity and confidence
